Instrument and measuring principle
The volume of gas (Helium) displaced by a known mass of substance is measured.

    Parameters and applications
    Helium pycnometry density measures approximately the true density of particulate materials.
    The density measured by helium pycnometry is a prerequisite for Air Permeability.


  • Micromeritics, Accupyc 1330

    Prerequisites
    1 – 5g of dry substance and the volume preferably 7.5-75 cm³.
    Drying conditions have to be determined.
